Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet of Lipton onion soup chicken mix
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle the Lipton onion soup chicken mix over the chicken.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Set the crockpot to low and cook for 6 to 8 hours, or set to high for 3 to 4 hours.
  • If caramelizing onions, warm 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium-low heat.
  • Add thinly sliced onions to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Stir in a pinch of salt to bring out the natural sweetness of the onions.
  • After the chicken is done, let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
  • Check the chicken’s internal temperature with a meat thermometer to ensure it has reached 165°F (74°C).
